BW Film.

This is pretty much the same idea as [link] which I did lik 2 years ago I guess on my old camera? But this version is much nicer, it's much more elegant.

Hmm. There are a lot of things I don't like about film. The long and tedious process of developing the film, for one... and how hard it is to manipulate the image the way I want, and how many scratches and dust specks get on my negative... But what I do like about film: it's softer, the depth of field is much shallower (that's what I like the most! it can be really pretty), and it's got so much detail (if it's a good image and that I didn't mess up).

yay for film! lemme guess... tmax 400? no... too much contrast. P3200? neopan 1600?

not enough grain... umm... it looks like it was push-processed.

or did you use a contrast filter? you tricky little photographerladytype you...

I love it when I see film on deviantART. You might like my book:

Your first guess is right, tmax 400. :-) The scene was actually very naturally contrasty, so I didn't push process it, and I used the #2 filter that's supposed to be used with my paper. And BTW, your avatar is awesome. :D
:iconalorox:
good deal. It's very nice to talk to someone else who actually still uses a darkroom. How long have you been into it?

thanks. I made it myself :)

Nice work. :) You don't like developing? I always loved being in the dark room...well film developing could get boring. Seeing all of your lovely images is making me start to miss photography. Hehehe, I miss the smell of fix on my hands.
:iconmaiblossoms:
Thanks. Developing's alright, but it's time consuming, and I always end up wasting so much paper ^^;

I've only been using film for like a semester, so I'm very new to it... before I've only ever used digital. How about you?
:iconalorox:
a little over two years now.

I shoot digital for anything that pays. It's more economical, faster, and more predictable.

But film is where it's at for everything else.
